Shot in a photo booth in Paris, the Fall 2011 Chanel ad campaign has the same photographer as always: Karl Lagerfeld and Freja Beha Erichsen is back for her fifth consecutive campaign! On the other hand, Karl chose a different and unexpected stylist: Carine Roitfeld. Slightly provacative, don’t you think?

My friend Galia was in Cannes last weekend and went to Chanel’s “Boutique Ephémère” (opened on the 7th of May until the 22nd of May). Like a real fashion reporter, she snapped some pictures with her Iphone and she was lucky enough to see Karl! I figured that you might enjoy the view of this very exclusive event. Karl Lagerfeld is a man of many talents, and his latest project, “The Tale Of A Fairy,” is a 30-minute film starring Anna Mouglalis (Chanel ambassadress), Freja Beha Erichsen, Baptiste Giabiconi, and Brad Koening among other muses of the French house. The short film will depict Karl’s Cruise collection for the brand and, as he puts it, the film is about the misuse of money, which starts with violence and ends with feelings.

It seems that the French Riviera is the place to be. Cannes in particular, but not only for the upcoming Film Festival but also for Chanel’s new “Boutique Ephemère” on the famed Boulevard de la Croisette ongoing until the 22^nd of May. The pop-up boutique carries vintage gowns by Coco Chanel herself and Lagerfeld among many other masterpieces. In other words, it’s any woman’s nirvana.

Today, Chanel presented their Cruise 2012 collection at the prestigious Hôtel du Cap-Eden-Rock at the Cap D’Antibes and the film was also screened for the occasion.
